The Purple Polka Dots Present a vintage inspired evening
  • Saturday, April 28, 2012
  • 7:30pm until 11:00pm

Wow! What a night this is going to be!

Cue let's go back in time wavy music ;-)
We want to take you back to the two fabulous decades that were the 1940s and 1950s. We are going to recreate the time, the music, the dancing, so get dressed up and come join us!

We have Now Let's Jive showing us how to dance, giving us a workshop and staying around, providing some music and encouraging us all to jive and stroll.

And, AND!!!! we have THE SPINETTES!!! A fabulous girl harmony group that will have you tapping your toes and shimmying your hips!

We also have our local vintage lovelies from Hepwrights Original Vintage and the Vintage Hair Lounge. Hepwrights will have a photo booth and a dressing up box, encouraging you to get in to the mood. They will also have a pop up shop, tempting you with all their fabulous goodies. The Vintage Hair Lounge can really make you look the part with either a hair do or make up; or why not treat yourself to both?

AND!!!!!!! Vivien of Holloway are sponsoring us too! They will also be giving us a prize for our raffle!

All of this is to fundraise for DEBRA - www.debra.org.uk - the only charity that works solely with people affected by the disabling genetic skin blistering condition, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

We will have a raffle too.

Dressing up is not essential but positively encouraged :-)

Tickets are £8 and can be bought from myself or Gem, with cash, cheque, PayPal or bank transfer. Please contact us if you would like to buy.

TICKET INFORMATION!!! YOU CAN NOW PAY FOR TICKETS VIA PAYPAL. THE ADDRESS IS: debrasouthamptonsupportersgroup@hotmail.co.uk Please mark it as a gift. And also give us details of where to send your tickets to. Thank you.

There is parking at The Maple Leaf but it is limited. There is limited street parking but there are two multi-storey car parks within a ten minute walk; one is on Grosvenor Square and the other is West Park Road. The venue is also close to city centre bus stops and to the train station.

STAYING OVER!
There are a lot of small b&b's along Polygon and the ETAP hotel is only about ten minutes walk away. This is the link for ETAP for that night (I think!!) :
